How about planting crops that can provide multiple harvests. He is also there from 9 pm to closing time. The shop is closed on Fridays, but Charlie is generally in the shop 6 am to 11 am in the morning and after walking on the sand with Eliza, returns to the shop from 1 to 6 p.m. Building that score is the hard part, so it helps if you understand how that score works. For example, you need a score of 30,000 to reach the bottom floor of the mine. They're hidden scores but they're very important, as they let you unlock a lot of things in the game. If you don't know much about the degree scores, you might want to read up about them on the fogu site. But it does take time and effort, and its not for everyone. ![]() I can't stress enough: if you embrace mining you'll find you eventually will make more money there than doing anything else. I wrote the mining guide to help people get started in the mine making a little extra cash early on, and building their Mining Degree score as they go so that eventually they have a high enough score and the resources to get to the deeper levels. Mining is the best though when Winter hits, especially if you have any greens and oranges, because its unlikely you'll have much else to do all day besides fish. You can also get some gemstones from the rocks the easy gems and gelatin make great gifts for at least half the people in the town. In this way, I was making an extra couple thousand gold a day in my first seasons, with just 1 yellow-I didn't have any oranges or greens until Winter-on top of crops. Greens will lower your stamina use, so you can do many more floors before you have to leave to get more stamina. If you still have some left, go down to B2 and keep going until you're out. After you clear the floor, if you're low on stamina, go fill up at the Diner/Cafe. Put yellows in your watering can and charge it to burst the lava bubbles quicker (less stamina use), and oranges if you have them to get more Gelatin per burst. You'll get 1-2 pieces which sell for almost 100g each. Use your watering can to water the lava to get Gelatin. After your chores are done (in Spring/Summer/Fall), head into the mine and dig down to B1. You won't get very far in the mine at first, and you shouldn't be trying to, but you can make a lot of money just going to the first couple of floors, and you'll also work up your Mining Degree score at the same time. I think you can find him after 6pm sometimes, but remember Chen's closes at 10pm. It will be a very long time before you have enough Wonderfuls to fill all our your tools and your needs. Juggling your Wonderfuls to the tools you need them in can help out a lot early in the game. Since Chen closes his shop on Fridays, Charlie also does not work on those days. If you want to ask Charlie to help you with your Wonderfuls and accessories, he'll be inside Chen's shop between 6am and 11am, and 1pm to 6pm. If someone can point to the thread I would appreciate it. I can't point to threads but, if you can search for the one by basket_case called "All-Inclusive Guide to Mining", you may get strategies from the section for miners at the beginning of the game. It will be approximately double the size of your original one but costs 60 orichalcum to make. The large one is the pendant that I use every day. The small harvest goddess pendant must be purchased before Charlie will make a medium and the medium before he will sell the large one. You still need to eat to replenish the stamina but you will have more to begin with. The harvest goddess pendant will increase the size of your stamina bar. (Use an indigo wonderful if you only have one slot in the hammer.) Take your orichalum and see Charlie. If you have any orange wonderfuls use all of them in your hammer. It won't be raised by them and they won't feed you but you don't use stamina for this task.Īs soon as you can get to the 25th floor of the mine all collect the orichalcum. ![]() Plan to talk to the villagers when your stamina is low. The diner is closer but I found that the cafe prices were lower and the items provided more stamina replacement. You can look at the list of recipes on the Index page and pay attention to the stamina numbers.įor farming, you may have to save enough money to buy a meal. ![]() Raw ingredients provide less than recipes. These generally do have a lot of vegetables in them but eggs and milk also increase your stamina. When you get a kitchen I would make recipes which provide the most stamina. ![]() If you are early in the game it can be difficult to have enough stamina to complete everything.
